At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Rehab Clinical Secretary to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Clerical Staff is:
- Completes patient scheduling, ensures all patients are able to attain a visit within 24 hours of first contact (referral or patient call), utilizing cancellation lists and other creative methods of scheduling as necessary
- Completes all necessary functions to ensure continuity of patient care, including scheduling, registering, communication with physician’s office or surgical services, coordinating with insurance companies to ensure authorization, sending and receiving documentation.
- Ensure confirmation of appointments is complete for all patients
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Incorporates appropriate assessment and intervention and/or technical skills in all interactions and/or delivery of patient care.
- Communicates with patients, team members, and management in an accurate, timely manner.
- Applies critical thinking skills and considers alternatives.
- Develops and maintains human care relationships.
- Manages self and resources effectively.
